Cathy Moon, candidate for the District 1 seat on the Flagler County School Board, announced on Thursday, April 9, that her candidate petition has been certified by the Supervisor of Elections office, confirming that campaign signature requirements have been met.
“I’m grateful to every resident who signed my petition and to the volunteers who helped make this certification possible,” Moon said in a press release. “This step confirms that our campaign has real momentum, and I’m ready to keep listening, learning, and earning the community’s trust.”
Moon is running against former School Board member Jill Woolbright for the District 1 seat.
In her press release, Moon said that with the petition certification complete, her campaign will focus on meeting with families, educators and community stakeholders to discuss her priorities including student achievement; a safe and supportive school environment, responsible and transparent budgeting; teacher recruitment, retention and respect; and parent and community engagement.
