In a landmark collaboration, the Palm Coast Lions Club and the Rotary Club of Flagler County have joined forces for the first time to support a shared mission: strengthening the local community through service.

Their inaugural partnership, the Falcon Fuel Donation Drive, directly benefits students at Daytona State College’s Flagler/Palm Coast Campus through the Falcon HOPE Center and Falcon Fuel program. This initiative provides essential food resources to students facing food insecurity because focusing on finals is a lot easier when you are not worried about your next meal.

Running now through May 30, the drive encourages community members to donate food items or contribute financially to help “fuel a student’s future.” Needed items can be found via the Falcon HOPE Center’s Amazon Wish List, https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2LFGW7N9OGOJY, and items can be shipped directly to the campus.

“This collaboration reflects what community service is supposed to look like,” said Rotary Club of Flagler County President Michelle Bartlome. “When organizations come together, we don’t just add impact - we multiply it.”

Palm Coast Lions Club President Shara Brodsky echoed that sentiment: “This is just the beginning. By combining our efforts, we’re creating a stronger, more unified approach to serving our community. We’re proud to stand alongside Rotary and look forward to many more joint initiatives ahead.”

As part of this new partnership, both clubs plan to collaborate on future service projects, helping to address local needs.

The Falcon Fuel program plays a critical role in supporting student success by alleviating food insecurity, an often invisible barrier to education. Through this joint effort, both organizations aim to not only meet immediate needs, but also inspire broader community participation.

Items can be shipped directly to: Daytona State College – Falcon Fuel, Flagler/Palm Coast Campus, 3000 Palm Coast Parkway S.E., Palm Coast, FL 32137.
