Flagler Palm Coast weightlifter Cody Strawser set a 129-pound school record with a clean-and-jerk lift of 265 pounds at the Bulldogs’ dual meet with Creekside on April 1. Strawser totaled 485 pounds in traditional lifts and 450 pounds in Olympic lifts.

The Bulldogs defeated the Knights 66-22 in Olympic competition and 63-27 in traditional.

Seven FPC lifters have qualified for USA Weightlifting nationals in Colorado Springs in June. A GoFundMe page has been set up for the lifters to help pay for their travel, room and board and competition fees. Go to gofundme.com/f/help-our-athletes-compete-at-nationals to donate.
