The City of Palm Coast is conducting its Citywide Traffic Count Study, a biennial initiative designed to collect essential data that supports effective traffic management and helps ensure our roadways continue to serve the community safely and efficiently.
Residents may notice black tubing stretched across major roadways, extending across multiple lanes. These are traffic-counting tubes that collect real-time data on roadway use. The city began this effort earlier this week in Town Center, the F and C sections, Bird of Paradise, and Citation Blvd. Traffic counts will take place over several weeks at various locations.
This data collection, required by the Land Development Code, establishes a baseline for traffic volume. It provides the city with the insight needed to guide roadway improvements, enhance traffic flow, and ensure that our transportation network is well-prepared to meet the needs of Palm Coast residents.
