Fendrick Gabaud passed away unexpectedly on August 22, 2025, shortly after completing a new-hire assessment to begin his dream career as a firefighter with Flagler County Fire Rescue. His journey was tragically cut short, but his legacy of love, service, and joy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Born in Palm Beach County and raised in St. Lucie County, Florida, Fendrick was a gifted athlete and a vibrant soul. He graduated from Saint Lucie West Centennial High School in 2003, where he played football, ran track and field, and met the love of his life, Alicia. Together, they built a beautiful life over 22 years of love and 11 years of marriage, raising two incredible children, ages six and ten, whom he adored beyond measure.

Fendrick’s passion for helping others led him to pursue multiple certifications through Daytona State College, including Firefighter Minimum Standards, EMT, and Police Academy training, where he was formally honored as the leader of his class.

He was a certified firefighter and EMT, and a graduate of the police academy. He also worked in the automotive industry and worked on the Fire/EMS safety team at New Smyrna Speedway.

A true servant leader, Fendrick was deeply committed to his community. He was a Past Potentate of Ancient City Temple No. 63, Oasis of Daytona Beach, Desert of Florida, and served as the Desert of Florida Director of Membership and Supervision. He gave his time generously to service projects, community events, and volunteering at his children’s school, never missing a single moment of their lives.

Fendrick was known for his infectious smile, his ability to make everyone feel important, and his unwavering devotion to his family. He was a hero, a leader, and a man of faith. He found joy in cheering on the Miami Hurricanes and the Baltimore Ravens, playing golf, and staying active.

He is survived by his beloved wife, his two children; his brothers; his ten nieces and nephews; including his cherished fur-niece, Vivi; his sisters-in-law; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fignola and Jean.

A visitation will be held on September 11, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, and a celebration of life will take place on September 12, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Both services will be held at New Life Church Ministries, located at 1625 Derbyshire Rd, Daytona Beach, FL 32117. The burial will be private and family-only. For those who wish to send flowers, arrangements may be placed through lotusfunerals.com, where Ariana’s Flower Boutique has been selected.

Fendrick lived his life with courage, purpose, and an infectious joy. His light will continue to shine through the lives he touched, the family he loved, and the community he served.
