The Calvary Church of Palm Coast has been trying to help ease the lives of the needy in their community for Thanksgiving.
According to a Facebook post, “everyone deserves to gather around the table with gratitude and a full plate”. The Thanksgiving: Grocery Giveaway collected non-perishable food items from Oct. 26 through Nov. 11 to make sure local families got to enjoy the holiday.
The church distributed the food on Sunday, Nov. 16 after their church service.
Three local churches in Ormond Beach joined together to help benefit the Alpha Women’s
Center.
On Friday, Nov. 7, The Chapel, Lifecoast and Tomoka Christian churches celebrated the sanctity of life with music, a silent auction and food, with all proceeds going to the Alpha Women’s Center. The center provides counseling and information to women who are facing an unexpected pregnancy and is completely run by donations.

Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Ormond Beach joined with a local troop and pack of the Boy Scouts of America, which helped fill the parish’s food pantry.
Troop 403 and Pack 74 helped bring in 550 bags of food for the pantry that serves local families in need. Also, the

church, through heir Facebook page, put a spotlight on two of their volunteers. Both Barbara Van Rhee and Kathy Blais have been a part of giving back to their community since the founding of the church over 50 years ago.

The congregation at the Ormond Beach Presbyterian Church welcomed back the choir from DeLand High School on Nov. 11. The choir directed by Ms. Tori Rathbun “provided a beautiful Veterans Day Tribute concert, and provided a special moment for all the veterans present that day."

On the morning of Nov. 11, volunteers from Epic Church of Palm Coast “delivered beautiful handmade gifts to veterans and widows of veterans at Grand Villa Assisted Living —all made by our 4th & 5th grade Epic Kids” according to a Facebook post.
The veterans received pieces engraved by wood burning and the widows of veterans received flowers and cards. The Facebook post stated that “the gratitude was overwhelming. Tears were shed. And our kids learned what it means to honor those who've sacrificed so much."

Parkview Church of Palm Coast is helping the community celebrate the Christmas season by hosting a live nativity. The event runs from Wednesday, Dec. 10 through Saturday, Dec. 13, from 6 to 9 p.m. each night.
The Facebook post was encouraging families to “create a new Christmas tradition by attending this one-of-a-kind walk-through experience depicting the greatest story ever told”. The event will also include live animals, a petting zoo, photo opportunities, and delicious food for sale.
