A man arrested by the Flagler County Sheriff's Office in July on a narcotics-related search warrant has been rearrested and is facing a fentanyl trafficking charge of over 28 grams.

Ryan McArthur, 37, of Palm Coast is being held at the Volusia County Branch Jail where he was rearrested on Nov. 10. McArthur's new charges stem from a controlled narcotics purchase that occurred during the five-month investigation preceding McArthur's July arrest, an FCSO press release said. The charges were held back pending the results of lab tests by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

If convicted of a fentanyl trafficking charge, McArthur faces a mandatory minimum of 25 years in prison and a $500,000 fine.
