It is with a sad heart that we announce the passing of our brother, nephew, cousin and friend Martin R Killeen, 54, born July 16, 1971, in Binghamton, NY.  He slipped away peacefully September 6, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Marty is predeceased by his parents Martin & Debora Killeen, grandparents Martin & Dorothy Killeen and Richard & Margaret Standish. He is survived by his sisters Kari & Selena Killeen, who provided comfort and care throughout his illness; his aunt Peg & uncle Bill Smith, cousin Justin MacGregor and of course the girls that always brought a smile to his face Sarah, Samantha and Bridget Heeman, all of Binghamton.

He cherished the friendships made throughout the different periods of his life; including his best friend Tim Peoples in North Carolina to his many wonderfully supportive friends Kim, Ramona, Kasia and Dave from Palm Coast. Marty was a fan of the NY Yankees, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Carolina Hurricanes! He enjoyed and played hockey, liked scuba diving and was a member of the Elks Club.

Marty graduated from Binghamton High School, attended SUNY Broome and began a career, he thoroughly loved, in material handling at Continental Storage Concepts, then Dillon Supply and finally SE Regional Manager of Borroughs.

The family would like to thank Courtney, the hospice provider from Vitas, for keeping him laughing and comfortable. In leu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Marty’s name to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, an organization he has supported since the 9/11 attacks. Donate by check to NFFF, PO Drawer 498 Emmitsburg, MD 21727 or online at www.firehero.org/donate.
