Isabel Kiss Jones, 97, of Palm Coast, Florida passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025.
Issie, as she was affectionately known, was born in New York City on November 28, 1927, a daughter of the late Louis and Isabel (Belohorsky) Kiss. She was raised in Marlboro, New York, graduated from the Marlboro High School and led the Class of 1945 as Valedictorian. She then graduated from Susquehanna College in Pennsylvania with a Masters Degree in Education.
Isabel is survived by her loving daughter Tammy Swenson of Hardford, New York, her grandchildren Thomas James (T.J.) Eason, Ashley Swenson, Curtis Jones, Nicholas Jones and great-granddaughter Ariana Stevens. She is also survived by her sister Cleo Kiss Banfi and husband Frank of Palm Coast, niece and nephews, great nieces and nephews, a great-great nephew and many cousins. She married Roland Stuart Jones, raised two children and settled in Newburgh, New York. Isabel worked at Sears Roebuck and Company and Hagle Supply as a bookkeeper, and Northrup, Slater and Glen law offices for many years. She was a member of the Calvary Presbyterian Church in Newburgh, New York, the Trinity Presbyterian Church of Palm Coast and displayed an unwavering faith in God.
Isabel and Stuart were avid skiers and enjoyed many weekends at Holiday Mountain Ski Area in the Catskills. They also enjoyed staying up late, watching old movies and listening to their old vinyl records together. Isabel had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. She had a passion for trivia and was a true history buff. She was the perfect “phone a friend” for answers. Isabel knew just about every answer to any historical question; past or present. She lived with perfect clarity until the week she left us.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Isabel Kiss Jones will be held on the morning of October 28, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the Trinity Presbyterian Church, 156 Florida Park Drive in Palm Coast, Florida where Isabel found solace and community.
Isabel was predeceased by her husband Stuart, son David Jones and brother Louis Kiss.
