Sylvester Lee Ivory, age 81, passed away quietly in his sleep on Saturday, June 21, 2025 in Annapolis, Maryland. He is survived by his sister Edna Greer, daughter Esther Ivory, first wife Willie B. Jackson, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Jackson and Geneva Ivory, 3 brothers (Edward, Samuel, and Leevester), 6 sisters (Yvonne, Ruby, Magnolia, Gloria, Lena, and Jackie) and his second wife, (Cassandra Jones Ivory). Sylvester had a 43-year work history at General Steel, Chrysler, Honeywell, and General Mills. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on August 30, 2025, at St. John Missionary Baptist Church located at 4264 Piggott Avenue, Cahokia Heights, Illinois.
