A 25-year-old Jacksonville man was arrested on July 12 on 40 counts of viewing and distributing child pornography.

Amais Mabini was arrested by the Flagler County Sheriff's Office's Cyber Crimes/ICAC Unit. The FCSO first received a tip in January from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children that child sexual abuse material was being shared by a Kik-app user last September.

The user was identified as Mabini, who was living in Palm Coast at the time and has since moved to Jacksonville, a FCSO press release said.  FCSO detectives documented 40 instances of Mabini viewing and transmitting child sexual abuse material.

In a interview with FCSO detectives, Mabini admitted to viewing and distributing child pornography. He was arrested for 40 county of viewing/distributing child pornography with enhancement and eight counts of viewing/distributing child pornography without enhancement, the press release said. He is being held at the Flagler County jail on a $480,000 bond.

FCSO's arrest of Mabini was aided through local partners in the Northeast Florida Inter-Agency Child Exploitation and Persons Trafficking Task Force, the press release said. The NEFL INTERCEPT is a regional task force focused on combating child exploitation and human trafficking that includes investigators and analysts from across Northeast Florida.
