Mary Lou was born in Orange, Texas and passed away in Port Orange, Florida surrounded by her family. Mary Lou was a long time registered nurse and nursing instructor, teaching at Texas Woman’s University in Houston, Texas and Daytona Beach Community College. Mary Lou went on to be one of the first nurse practitioners in the United States having graduated from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Mary Lou was energetic, kind, caring, and loving. She will be greatly missed.
