Racquet director at Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa is named professional of the year

Director Gene Paul Lascano has over 20 years of coaching experience. The award recognizes a RSPA member who has demonstrated over the span of a year, exemplary achievement in seven areas.

Gene Paul Lascano, the racquet director at Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa, has been named professional of the year by the Racquet Sports Professionals Association.

The award is for the RSPA's Florida Region 4. The award recognizes a RSPA member who has demonstrated over the span of a year, "exemplary achievement" in seven areas, including with the RSPA, allied organizations, club achievements, career development, volunteerism, coaching achievements and play achievements, according to the RSPA's website. 

Lascano has over 25 years of coaching and leadership experience in tennis and pickleball at clubs and resorts in New York and Florida, according to the Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa's website.  

"With 20+ years of coaching, leadership in tennis and pickleball, and a passion for giving back, Gene Paul continues to elevate Hammock Beach’s award-winning racquet program," a Hammock Beach resort Facebook post said.
