Saturday, Dec. 27

Kwanzaa Celebration

When: 12-5 p.m.

Where: African American Cultural Center, 4422 U.S. Highway 1 N., Palm Coast

Details: The Cultural Committee of the African American Cultural Society invite the community to attend this annual free Kwanzaa celebration. There will be food trucks, vendors, a program with drumming and dancing, an African fashion show, a 50/50 drawing and giveaways. The program begins at 2 p.m.

Tuesday, Dec. 30

Family Tales: Noon Year's Eve

When: 11:30 a.m.

Where: Ormond Beach Regional Library, 30 S. Beach St., Ormond Beach

Details: Families will enjoy counting rhymes and stories in preparation to celebrate the countdown to noon. A New Year’s Eve craft will accompany the storytime. Free program.

Wednesday, Dec. 31

New Years 2025 Surfboard Drop

When: 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Where: Veterans Park, 105 S. 2nd St., Flagler Beach

Details: Celebrate the New Year with a surfboard drop at midnight. There will be games, music, food and fireworks.

Thursday, Jan. 1

First Day Hike

When: 10-11:30 a.m.

Where: Gamble Rogers State Park, 3100 S. Oceanshore Blvd., Flagler Beach

Details: Celebrate the new year in the outdoors with a hike on the Joe Kenner Trail with a park ranger. Learn about native plants, animals of the maritime hammock and the coastal strand ecosystem. All ages welcome. Group size is limited to 15. Pre-registration is required. Call 386-517-2086.

Free Family Art Night

When: 5:30-7 p.m.

Where: Ormond Memorial Art Museum, 78 E. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach

Details: Bring your family for a fun art project. All art supplies are provided. No art experience needed. All ages are welcome. Free program.

Saturday, Jan. 3

Ormond Art Walk

When: 3-7 p.m.

Where: Ormond Beach MainStreet Arts District, 128 W. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach

Details: Join Frame of Mind, Art Spotlight, The Studio by Artist Angel Lowden, the Ormond Memorial Art Museum and more on the first Saturday of each month for art openings and art events.

'Positivity' opening reception

When: 3-7 p.m.

Where: The Casements, 25 Riverside Drive, Ormond Beach

Details: The Florida Women's Arts Association presents this exhibition where artists were challenged to think about being positive. The works range from realism to abstracts and are a diverse collection by local female artists. The exhibition will be on display through Jan. 30. Free admission. Visit flwaa.com.

Moonrise at the Beach

When: 5:30-6:15 p.m.

Where: Gamble Rogers Memorial State Park, 3100 S Oceanshore Blvd., Flagler Beach

Details: Learn about the moon as you watch it rise. Bring binoculars and a camera for photo opportunities. Meet at the beachside pavilion. Entrance into the park is $5 per vehicle.

Sunday, Jan. 4

Pancake breakfast and blood drive

When: 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Where: St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church, 1000 Ocean Shore Blvd., Ormond Beach

Details: The Knights of Columbus Council 13018 will serve a pancake breakfast at the Social Hall and the OneBlood Big Red Bus will be onsite to accept blood donations. All donors will receive a free pass to the pancake breakfast, as well as a free gift, $20 eGift card and a complimentary wellness checkup from OneBlood.The breakfast includes all the pancakes you can eat, scrambled eggs, sausage, orange juice and coffee. The breakfast for non-donors costs $6 for adults, and children under 12 eat free. All are welcome.

Christmas Tree Recycling event

When: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Palm Coast Fuel Depot, 22 Utility Drive, Palm Coast

Details: Recycle your Christmas tree and receive a free 3-gallon tree or shrub in exchange at this 19th annual event hosted by the city. Recycled trees will be turned into mulch for the city's parks and trails. You must remove all decorations, lights, tinsel and ornaments. There will also be free document shredding. 

Palm Coast Historical Society's 2026 Speaker Series

When: 1-2 p.m.

Where: Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Parkway NE, Palm Coast

Details: Listen to Mike McGinness and Jeff Davies as they present, "Florida: A History in Pictures – From the Stone Forts at St. Augustine to the Big Swamp." Free event. Preregistration required. Visit  parksandrec.fun.

School's Out for Art Youth Workshop

When: 2-3:30 p.m.

Where: Ormond Memorial Art Museum, 78 E. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach

Details: Students ages 5-12 are invited to join this workshop where participants will write and illustrate their own comic strip. All supplies are included. Seats are limited. Costs $15 for museum members and $20 for non-members. Visit ormondartmuseum.org to register.

A Course in Miracles study group
