10:33 p.m. — 900 block of North Halifax Drive, Ormond Beach
DUI. A 50-year-old Ormond Beach man was arrested after he crashed into a road sign and a tree while driving under the influence, and left the scene.
Police report that they received a call about a suspicious vehicle at a local church. The caller believed they were being followed, but later asked law enforcement not to respond after losing sight of the vehicle.
About three minutes later, police were notified of the crash. Witnesses saw him fleeing on foot and refuse orders to stop from law enforcement.
