The Volusia Flagler Advanced Practice Nursing Council recently donated over $1,000 worth of toys to Bunnell Elementary and Palm Terrace Elementary.
This is part of the organization's annual celebration of giving back to the community, said board member Tina Carlyle, of Ormond Beach, in an email to the Observer. She and Sharon James purchased the gifts for children, using funds raised during the council's annual summit.
"The Volusia Flagler Advanced Practice Nursing Council makes it a big deal annually to give back to the community," Carlyle said.
