Repeat offender

1:41 p.m. – Mile Marker 289 southbound, Interstate 95, Palm Coast

Driving with a suspended license. A Jacksonville man with 12 prior license revocations and suspensions on his license was once again pulled over for driving with a suspended license.

The suspect had 12 revocations and 12 prior convictions for driving with a suspended license, spanning from 2000 to 2024 and across multiple Florida counties and one in Georgia, according to his arrest report. The Sheriff’s Office deputy who pulled the man over found the suspect still had a suspended license at the time, with an impound order on the vehicle.

The driver was taken to the Flagler County jail where he was searched. At the jail, the intake officer found a sandwich bag with a brown powder substance in the man’s wallet, which tested positive for fentanyl, the report said. It was approximately 3.17 grams.

In addition to his 13th citation for driving with a suspended license, the suspect is now also facing a drug possession charge and a charge for attempting to smuggle contraband into the jail.

Auto trouble

6:52 p.m. – First block of Market Place Court, Palm Coast

Burglary, battery. A Palm Coast man was arrested after he was caught breaking into cars at an auto repair shop and ended the day by headbutting and spitting on the Sheriff’s Office deputies who arrested him.

Two deputies responded to a call about an attempted burglary at the shop, where a man was seen by an employee entering multiple vehicles, leaving one minivan running, according to an arrest report.

As the deputies were talking to the witness, they spotted the suspect behind the shop in an employee-only area, the report said. The deputies confronted the suspect, who appeared to have slurred speech and was walking unsteadily.

The suspect told deputies he just wanted to go home and was confused as to why he was at the auto shop. When deputies placed him under arrest, the man headbutted one deputy in the thigh. He continued to struggle with the deputies and later on at the hospital, the suspect even spit in the other deputy’s face.

The suspect is facing two battery charges, two burglary charges, a loitering charge, a violation of parole charge and a resisting arrest charge.
