Bethune-Cookman University started the fall 2025 semester celebrating a new president along with an uptick in enrollment for another year, marking a "pivotal moment in the university’s ‘B-CU Rising: All of Us, All In’ strategic initiative," according to a news release.
Classes started Aug. 18, marking Dr. Albert Mosley’s first full term as the university’s eighth president — a role he assumed on July 7. He brought students, faculty and staff together in prayer during his first Presidential Convocation on Aug. 20.
“We are writing a new chapter at Bethune-Cookman — one that honors the bold legacy of Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune while preparing the next generation of leaders to shape our communities and the world,” Mosley said. “‘B-CU Rising: All of Us, All In’ represents our unwavering commitment that every voice matters, every student succeeds, and every member of our community plays a vital role in our ascent to excellence. This a time of tremendous potential, and I am deeply committed to ensuring that every student who walks onto campus has the tools and support they need to rise together.”
Bethune-Cookman University also received nearly $900,000 from the National Science Foundation to upgrade its technology infrastructure.
“‘B-CU Rising: All of Us, All In’ is more than a motto — it’s our roadmap to elevating every aspect of the Bethune-Cookman experience,” Mosley said. “When we say, ‘All of Us,’ we mean every student, every graduate, every faculty member, and every community partner. When we say, ‘All In,’ we mean fully committed to excellence in academics, student life, community engagement and institutional advancement.”
