The Flagler Habitat for Humanity received a check for $3,331 on July 23 from the Community Foundation of Volusia and Flagler Counties to support the organization's endowment fund.
The Community Foundation operates as a permanent endowment of United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties. It is dedicated to help increase the organized capacity of our community to care for its people. One way is through endowment funds that provide perpetual funding for charitable organizations.
The Flagler Habitat for Humanity Endowment Fund was established in early 2024 through an anonymous $50,000 donation. Others have donated to this fund in the past year to increase the monies this endowment will provide the Flagler chapter of Habitat for years to come.
This check is the first of many to benefit the local effort to eliminate poverty housing and provide for those in need within Flagler County.
