Prosecutors have dropped a felony child abuse charge against Christine Garrrett, a Palm Coast doctor, on July 23. She had been accused on Feb. 2 of this year of striking her adopted son with a plastic garbage can after an argument over cleaning his room.
Garrett’s attorney, Dillon M. Andreassi, said and email, “the child advised their counselor along with multiple witnesses that their allegations were untrue. Furthermore, Dr. Garrett passed a polygraph test confirming the same. … It is with great pleasure that Dr. Garrett can put this matter behind her.”
