Buccaneers kicked off their Homecoming celebrations with a 65-0 win against the Deltona Wolves on Thursday, Oct. 12. Alumni were invited to join the Lady Bucs, the Mirage Color Guard, Mainland’s majorettes, the Mainland band and drum majors for a performance under the Daytona Stadium bleachers during halftime.
Traditionally, the Homecoming Court is introduced and the king and queen are announced at halftime but due to rain, the event was rescheduled for Saturday, Oct. 14 at the ‘Northern Lights’ Homecoming Dance.
Mainland’s royalty was crowned at the dance. Queen Rhianna Moore and King Emmanuel Y’Israel will reign the Buccaneer hallways and events for the 2023-2024 school year.
