Flood specialists from Florida are being deployed to help communities in Vermont.

Gov. Ron DeSantis’ office said Friday that Division of Emergency Management floodplain-management specialists will help the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources with damage estimates and inspections of flood-damaged structures.

The Burlington Free Press reported that parts of Vermont had record-breaking rainfall during the second week of July. “All of Vermont has already received over the normal amount of rainfall for July, some towns already having received triple or quadruple their average July rainfall,” the Free Press reported.
