The Flagler County Sheriff's Office's third annual Shop with a Cop helped around 130 Flagler County children buy Christmas presents on Dec. 15 at the Palm Coast Walmart.
Shop with a Cop focuses on providing holiday presents for families in need in Flagler County.
The children were each assigned to a deputy, another local law enforcement officer or a volunteer and given a $200 gift card to spend at Walmart. The gift cards were purchased through the Flagler Sheriff Children’s Charities, a charity established by Sheriff Rick Staly in 2020.
The combined donations from FCSO employees and local businesses and organizations totaled over $35,000, according to a press release from the FCSO. The FCSO employees donated $24,783 this year, up from $18,912 in 2022.
The charity also received donations from the Knights of the Inferno Motorcycle Club, Punishers Motorcycle Club, Flagler County Tax Collector’s Office employees, the Bunnell Police Department, AMVETS of Bunnell, Pioneer Guns and Ammo and retired FCSO Sgt. Manny Sa, the press release said.
