Two seriously injured in crash on I-95 with tractor trailer

The accident happened at 5 a.m. on April 13 when the sedan collided with a tractor trailer parked on the highway's shoulder.

Two people are seriously injured after a sedan collided with a tractor trailer parked on the shoulder of Interstate 95.

The crash happened at 5 a.m. on April 13, just south of Palm Coast Parkway on I-95, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol. The driver of the tractor trailer is uninjured, but the driver of the sedan, 28, is in serious condition and his passenger, 24, is in critical condition.

The sedan was travelling southbound in the far-right lane, the report said, when it began to drift onto the shoulder for unknown reasons. The sedan driver was steering the vehicle back onto the roadway, but the passenger side of the sedan hit the left side of the trailer, which was parked on the shoulder.

The sedan came to a stop in the center lane; Both the driver and passenger were taken to Halifax Hospital.
