One fish, two fish, shark?
The city of Ormond Beach held its Reel in the Fun kids' fishing tournament on Saturday, June 18. The free catch and release tournament is open to city residents 4-12 years old. Among the catches in the most recent event at the Neptune beach approach were three sharks, according to the city.
The winners of the tournament were:
Ages 4-6
First place: Rebecca D. — 1.7 ounce shark
Second place: Aubrey E. — 0.8 ounce whiting
Third place: Owen K. — 0.5 ounce whiting
Ages 7-9
First place: Evelyn P. — 0.12 ounce shark
Second place: Connor G. — 0.8 ounce shark
Third place: Marlon S. — 0.6 ounce whiting
Ages 10-12
First place: Colton H. — 1.7 ounce pompano
Second place: Christopher S. — 0.8 ounce whiting
