Two dogs, one cat and one hedgehog have been featured as this week's Halifax Humane Society Adoptable Pets of the Week.

The first pup is Muffin, a 3-year-old terrier and American Staffordshire mix with a red coat. She arrived to the shelter as a stray in November 2021 and was never claimed. She is sweet, but can be a bit awkward as she is still learning. Muffin doesn't do well around cats, has shown some avoidance to other dogs and tends to guard her food and resources. She would do best in a household with no small children. Her adoption fee is $70.

The second is Roman, a 2-year-old Rottweiler mix with a black and brown coat. He also arrived to the shelter as a stray. His adoption fee is $225.
