Myles Clymer scored two goals, including the game-winner, as Flagler Palm Coast defeated Nease, 4-3, in its boys soccer season-opener, Nov. 8 at Sal Campanella Memorial Stadium.
Clymer scored with 1:23 left in the game to give Ramtin Amiri a win in his varsity head coaching debut.
Amiri and Troy Stone traded roles this year with Stone taking over the JV team.
"It was an effort to push the program forward," Stone said. "Ramtin has the youth and the energy. When he was coaching JV, he was getting results he shouldn't have been getting. He finds ways to get the most out of his players."
Clymer was playing his first game since undergoing ankle surgery, Amiri said.
"He missed pretty much the entire season last year," Amiri said. "He played just three games."
Clymer's first goal tied the score at 1-1 in the first half. Freshman Aron Binkley and Trevor Stone also scored for FPC. Schmidt Joseph had two assists for the Bulldogs.
The win was the Bulldogs' first against the Panthers in seven years.
