Over 20 people attended a memorial, "A Walk in Remembrance," on Nov. 6 at Central Park in Town Center for Flagler County school bus driver Jim Egan.
Egan died in a motorcycle crash on Oct. 5.
Flagler Schools Superintendent Cathy Mittelstadt, Assistant Superintendent of Academic Services Bobby Bossardet, Belle Terre Elementary School Principal Jessica DeFord and Flagler County Commissioner Andy Dance were among those in attendance.
Egan, who worked in the district's transportation department since 2015, drove the bat bus to Matanzas High School and Belle Terre Elementary School.
Geri Drayton, Egan's supervisor, presented a framed picture to Egan's wife, Sue, from his fellow bus drivers. The picture included a photo of fellow drivers standing by Jim Egan's bus and the original bat sign from the bus.
