The Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs lost an away game at Father Lopez on Wednesday, March 24. Starting pitcher for the Bulldogs was junior left-hander Tanner Araujo, while Father Lopez used leftie sophomore Owen McKinly. Lopez scored first, in the bottom of the second inning, when McKinley scored on a Araujo wild pitch to sophomore batter David Hickey.
In the bottom of the third inning, Lopez added two more runs when Hickey hit a homer with senior Zack Taylor on base. The Bulldogs scored a run in the top of the fifth inning, when junior outfielder Kyle McDonnell snuck home after a field out, catching a few Lopez players off guard. But it wasn't enough to come back. Lopez added another run in the bottom of the fifth, and won the game 4-1.
