Four of the six candidates for Palm Coast mayor will participate in a forum held by the nonpartisan Flagler Tiger Bay Club on June 23.
David Alfin, Carol Bacha, Doug Courtney and Cornelia Downing Manfre will take part, while Alan Lowe and Kathy Austrino declined. Lowe also declined the Palm Coast Observer’s invitation to take part in video candidate interviews with publisher John Walsh.
He said he had a prior engagement on the date of the Tiger Bay Club’s event but would be considering other potential forums.
The Wednesday, June 23 Palm Coast Mayoral Forum is open to the public and will be held at the Palm Coast Community Center, with a candidate meet-and-greet starting at 5 p.m., followed by the forum at 6 p.m. Flagler Tiger Bay Club board member Teldra Jones will moderate the event, according to a Flagler Tiger Bay Club news release.
The forum will also be broadcast live on WNZF News Radio 94.9 FM and livestreamed at www.flaglertigerbayclub.com and on the Flagler Tiger Bay Club’s Facebook page.
Panelists for the event will include the following, according to the news release: Scott Campion, president of the European Village Business Association and owner of the Cork ‘n Pint; Pastor Andrew Hale, associate pastor of Parkview Church in Palm Coast; Lovie Haley, honors-student athlete, president of the National Honor Society at Matanzas High School, and Young Tiger member; Pastor Charles Silano, founder of Grace Tabernacle Ministries, Grace Community Food Pantry and the Open Door Re-Entry & Recovery Ministry; and Alex Soares, senior manager for business development at AdventHealth Medical Group, East Florida, and Flagler Tiger Bay Club Young Executive member.
