Bulldogs win by 1 thanks to second half surge

The FPC boys basketball team traveled to St. Augustine High School on Jan. 19.

FPC got to a slow start in St. Augustine on Jan. 19, though the team was able to keep it close. A second half surge propelled the Bulldogs into the lead and kept them there despite the Yellow Jackets’ attempts to close the gap. At the final buzzer, FPC led by one point, with the final score being 76-75.

Notable efforts came from Alex Alives and Marcus Freeman.

Currently ranked first in their district and boasting now an 8-4 record on the season, the team will next face DeLand on Jan. 21.
