Flagler Palm Coast traveled across town Jan. 15, visiting Matanzas in girls basketball, with FPC winning 60-29, at The Ship.
Prior to Friday’s matchup, FPC boasted a 10-5 overall record for the 2020-21 season and are currently ranked third in Class 7A District 1.
Matanzas’ record prior to Friday’s game showed the Pirates 3-10 on the season. Their last victory came over Pedro Menendez on Dec. 4. The Lady Pirates are currently ranked fourth in Class 5A District 4.
Going forward, FPC will play Oakleaf (Orange Park) on Jan. 19 followed by DeLand on Jan. 22. Matanzas will play Nease Jan. 19 and Seabreeze Jan. 22.
