Matanzas opened the 2021 season at home against St. Augustine

Matanzas tennis dusted off their rackets after a long hiatus due to COVID-19, hosting St. Augustine for a dual match on Feb. 8. The Pirates lost to St. Augustine 7-0. The following scores are below:

 

SINGLES

Kaitlyn Gerhard: 5-4

Sarah Fairchild: 3-4

Nina Duncan: 5-4

Jessica Krayter: 7-5

 

Lucas Grace: 3-8

Chris Candler: 4-8

Josh Ramotar: 0-8

Merritt Rice: 3-8

Anthony Poorte: 1-8

 

DOUBLES

Gerhard/Fairchild: 6-8

Duncan/Krayter: 6-8

Grace/Candler: 3-8

Ramotar/Rice: 1-8

 

The Pirates will leave The Ship and have a match against the FPC Bulldogs on Feb. 12. The match is scheduled for 3:30 that afternoon.
