Matanzas hosted their district game against Parker (Jacksonville) and made quick work of the opposition, winning in the first round of the Class 5A-District 3 tournament. Scoring a total of 14 goals in the first half, the Lady Pirates won 14-0, with the game being called at halftime.
Matanzas is the fourth seed in the district tournament. The Lady Pirates play at top-seeded Ponte Vedra at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 2.
