Terry Larkin, right, was a good friend of John Galgano and shared the news of the gathering with the Observer.
In February, friends and family gathered to celebrate the life of John Galgano, who died Feb. 21 at the age of 90. He was a regular at Dunkin' Donuts, which hosted the celebration, including displays of photos and a flag. Galgano served in the U.S. Air Force from 1948 to 1951.
"John will be greatly missed," said his friend Terry Larkin. Larkin also thanked Dunkin' owners Gary Heckel and Glen Garman. Gary Cox, Dunkin' manager, even attended the celebration on his day off.
"All in all, it was a great celebration of a kind and generous man," Larkin said.
Galgano's son and daughter, Jolene and Darren, were presented an American flag by the honor guard from the Palm Coast American Legion.
