The city of Ormond Beach hosts a Veterans Day luncheon every year, and despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, 2020 was no exception. It just looked a little different.
This year's Veterans Day celebration by the city's Leisure Services Department was held in a drive-thru format at the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center parking lot on Tuesday, Nov. 10. City staff members and local elected officials helped to hand out cards and boxed meals the city purchased from Publix. The parking lot was decorated with several and signs thanking veterans for their service.
