Flashing lights. Honking horns. Prayer.
Oasis Church of Ormond Beach, Ormond Beach Police Department, Volusia County Sheriff's Department, Ormond Beach Fire Department and the Daytona Beach Fire Department all came out to AdventHealth Daytona Beach on Thursday, May 7, for the last car prayer event for those on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This was followed by a Jeep parade by members from the Mid-Florida Jeep Club, A1A Jeep Club, Volusia Jeep Club and the Daytona Beach Jeep Club, said Lindsay Cashio, AdventHealth spokeswoman, in an email. The event was extra special, she added, as it occurred during Nurses Week and was an added recognition for the clinical teams who served the community during the COVID-19 crisis.
