Palm Coast Little League celebrated the start of its 20th season with an opening day ceremony the morning of Saturday, Feb. 29, at the Indian Trails Sports Complex.
As one of the largest official little league in the Northeast Coast district, Palm Coast Little League has almost 50 teams, 400 families and nearly 600 kids.
The ceremony started with words PCLL President Peter Schoembs, who introduced past presidents of the league as well as the league's new Board of Directors. Several prominent members of the community also threw opening pitches, including Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly and Palm Coast Vice Mayor Nick Klufas.
