The girls soccer teams of Flagler Palm Coast and Matanzas high schools went head-to-head on Dec. 18. The afternoon game that drifted into the early evening saw the Bulldogs emerge triumphant, winning the game over the Pirates in a score 3-1. FPC fired off their first two goals during the first half as did Matanzas their first and only of the game. FPC would score once more in the second half.
Both team will not see action until January. FPC is next scheduled to play New Symrna Beach at home on Jan. 5. Matanzas will also play at home that day, hosting St. Joseph Academy.
