Pirates drop first home game 44-14 to Atlantic

The Pirates trailed by 24 points at the half.

After securing their first win of the season the week prior, the Pirates struggled against Atlantic in their Week 5 matchup, losing to the Sharks 44-14 the night of Friday, Sept. 20, at Matanzas High School.

The Pirates (1-3) trailed by 24 points after the first half.

Pirates quarterback Demontre Neely scored Matanzas' first touchdown of the night on a 53-yard run in the third quarter.
