A celebration of local talent, the annual Flagler County Youth Center's Focus on Youth Spotlight showcased everything from singing, to dancing, to aerial arts, to hip-hop violin.
The show took place the evening of Wednesday, May 29, at the Flagler Auditorium. The master of ceremonies was Destiny Cole. The judges were Kayla Byrne, a former Spotlight winner; Sabrina Crosby, of Flagler County Schools; Michael Jackson, BYP Studios; Joe Rizzo, of the Flagler County Education Foundation; and Christy Butler, of Take Stock in Children.
Junior Divison (kindergarten through fifth grade):
First: Jaiyse Williams, who sang "He's Done Enough" by Beverly Crawford
Second: Ava Muldoon, who performed an aerial silks solo
Third: Caylee Casper and Grace Myers, who performed an aerial cube duo
Middle Division (sixth to eighth grade):
First: Jack Lisenby, who performed a hip-hop violin solo
Second: Jada Guarino, sang "When I Was Your Man" by Bruno Mars
Third: Brooke and Madison Berrios, who performed an aerial lyra duo
Senior Division (ninth to 12th grade):
First: Emily Zamor, who sang an original song "Don't Let Go"
Second: Jada Williams, who sang the postponed jukebox 1940s version of "Titanium"
Third: Savanna Dacosta, who sang "Don't Take the Money"
