Sweetwater Elementary PTA hosted the 5k Color Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, March 2, to help fund scholarships for the school's college-bound alumni, as well as fund the fifth-grade party.
Runners of all ages and ability levels were invited to join and take part in the festivities of the day. Music and food were available to the participants. Volunteers stood with a variety of colored powder at stations throughout the course to cheer them on. The powder consists of colored cornstarch that is 100% non-toxic and completely biodegradable.
