Fifty-five people were in attendance for Crunk '90s night on July 20, as part of the "Through the Decades Summer Zumba Block Party Series."
The series, which is presented by Atmosphere Reinvented, was held at MPower Fitness and hosted by Crazy Sock Divas.
Attendees came dressed in their favorite '90s gear and danced to 90 minutes of '90s hit from all genres — pop, grunge, rap, R&B and ska/punk. Each event in the series features a raffle where 100% of the proceeds go to benefit a featured charity, and this month’s was dedicated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, as part of an ongoing initiative by supporting sponsor Welcome Home Real Estate, which has raised $648 to date for this organization — with $101 of that coming from Crunk '90s Night.
The final event in the series is "Bling Bling in Y2K" and will feature song hits from the 2000s. The event will take place from 4-7 p.m. on Aug. 17, and will feature the DiaBEATes Alliance, a community alliance offering diabetes support, education, information, advocacy, care, awareness and resources to the residents of Flagler County, as that month’s featured charity. MPower Fitness will be matching all proceeds generated from the charity raffle to the them. The DiaBEATes Alliance will be onsite to educate and connect the community with resources. Tickets can be purchased for $10 each at www.crazysockdivas.com.
