The Hawks' Kaci Oelkers was on fire from beyond the arc against Flagler Palm Coast, knocking down 7-of-14 3-pointers and scoring 22 points in Spruce Creek's 75-60 win over the Bulldogs the night of Tuesday, Dec. 17, at FPC High School.
Spruce Creek got on the board early with a 10-0 run to open the first quarter. The Hawks led 46-24 at halftime. The game got relatively close in the fourth quarter, with the Bulldogs pulling to within 8 points with about 3 minutes to play in regulation, but an Oelkers 3-pointer halted FPC's attempt at a comeback.
The Hawks also got contributions from Tyja Beans, who scored 14 points and ripped down 17 rebounds; Kaci Helmick, who scored 11 points and dished out four assists; and Peryonna Sylvester added 11 points.
The win was the Hawks' seventh of the season.
