Buddy Taylor Middle School was ready to welcome its new and returning students with signs, high fives, and music from Flagler Palm Coast High School's marching band on Aug. 12.
BTMS principal Bobby Bossardet greeted as many students as possible. "We want to show our students that we care," he said.
Superintendent James Tager and School Board members were also part of the welcoming event.
"Students are the most important thing, and we want them to feel loved," Tager said.
There are over 13.000 students in the district, with 1,000 of them at BTMS..
