Locals joined in the city of Palm Coast and Florida Hospital Flagler's fight against breast cancer at the Pink Army 5K kickoff during Food Truck Tuesday on Sept. 18, which was held along Park Street next to Central Park in Town Center.
Guests were encouraged to wear pink in support of the eighth-annual run that benefits breast cancer awareness and research. Proceeds from the event will go to the Pink Army 5K Walk/Run.
The Flagler Hospital Foundation launched the season's campaign for October at the event, and activities for the kids were provided by Flagler Sheriff’s Police Athletic League. Entertainment was by DJ Vern.
The Pink Army 5K Walk/Run is pet-friendly and includes a one-mile fun walk. It will be Sunday, Oct. 14, and the public can sign up at https://www.palmcoastgov.com/Pink5K.
