Spruce Creek improved to 2-1 on the season after a 34-3 drubbing of Matanzas on the night of Friday, Sept. 7, at Matanzas High School.
The Hawks scored their first four touchdowns all on the ground. But halfway through the fourth quarter, Hawks defensive back Dee'Shari Keith intercepted a screen pass by the Pirates' quarterback. Keith returned the pick 45 yards into the end zone.
Up next, the Hawks take on Sandalwood at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, at Spruce Creek High School.
