To celebrate the start of the school year, Bunnell Elementary School invited families to "get their glow on" at a family dance, said Parent Teacher Organization President Sherri Hennessey.
Glow-in-the-dark wristbands, necklaces, rings and other accessories lit up the cafeteria at BES on the evening of Friday, Aug. 31. Ticket sales racked in over $1,000 by the end of the night. Hennessey said she was pleasantly surprised with the large turnout. The money will go toward classrooms and teachers requests, through the PTO school fund.
