Ormond Beach resident Kaleb 'Lee' Scharmahorn will perform on The Voice for another week as he advanced into the show's Top 8 on Tuesday night.

This week, Scharmahorn performed "Boondocks" by Little Big Town. The song was chosen for the show's Challenge Week since it is written for a quartet, moving Scharmahorn and his coach Kelly Clarkson to work the original rendition to fit a solo voice. Scharmahorn said in his pre-taped interview before his performance that "Boondocks" was his secret weapon, and that the upbeat tune would give him more freedom to work the crowd.

The coaches praised him for his performance, with Adam Levine saying Scharmahorn has grown a lot as a musician since his first audition on the show.

Tuesday night's show would turn to be very challenging for Levine, as his artists all ended up on the bottom three. Rayshun LaMarr avoided elimination by the audience's popular vote, and Christiana Danielle and Jackie Verna were both sent home.
