The first day of school at Buddy Taylor Middle School was filled with the beating sounds of the Matanzas High School drum line and the neon colors of balloons and poster boards that were personalized with welcoming messages.
Flagler Schools students started classes on Friday, Aug. 10. Superintendent James Tager and School Board members Janet McDonald, Colleen Conklin and Maria Barbosa joined BTMS faculty and staff to high-five students and start the year off on the right foot.
BTMS Assistant Principal Cara Cronk said this was the first year the school coordinated with the MHS drum line for a special welcome for students.
